What will 2011 bring??? A Baby(Cakes) Giveaway, for starters!

Probably one of the best treasures ever... a new nephew. My sister Michelle is due to give birth to her first baby - a little boy they'll name Frankie -- in about a week or so. I'm super excited to be an auntie again -- and really miss the baby stage! In fact, I'm soooooooo super excited for the new baby that he will be the reason for my next giveaway.... A BabyCakes machine!!

Since little Frankie can make his appearance at any time now, I'm going to open up the giveaway now.... and it will end when Frankie is born.

So what do you have to do to win the giveaway?? Leave a comment on my blog with how much you think Frankie will weigh when he's born. Michelle's due date is 1/22, so he's full-term now. Feel free to also leave some advice for Michelle, since this is her first baby. The person who's guess is closest to Frankie's actual birth weight without going over will win. (In the event of a tie, the first person who guessed that weight will be the winner.) **You can only enter once. (Jason!!)

And here's a picture of what you can win... (I believe I have the pink for the giveaway -- I know, blue would have been better, but they didn't have blue in the store).

.

Ready, set, GO!!

(Disclaimer for my International friends... I don't know if this can be shipped internationally, so if you are the winner, I will send you the cash equivalent of the BabyCakes machine)

  19. My guess is 8lbs 6 oz.

My advice...while in the hospital, utilize the nursery nurses...get tips and helpful info from them and don't hesitate to send your little bundle of joy to the nursery for a while so you can get some much-needed rest. They'll bring him back when he's hungry and needs bonding with mommy :)

  20. I'll go with 9 pounds 1 ounce because that's what my son weighed. Best wishes with her delivery. The best advice I can give if she's breast feeding is realize that half of the battle is having confidence in yourself. Actually that's probably half the battle with being a new parent. So trust your instincts! And remember to get your sleep while you can at the hospital, you'll need it to both recover from labor and also for those crazy first two weeks at home. Good luck!

My best advice would be to treasure every moment with your little one...put down the laptop, put down the cell phone and just spend as much time with him as you can...they are only small for so long....

  35. 6 lbs and 13 oz (both my kids weight)
    Here's my advise... don't laugh...
    When in the hospital:
1)take the pads and put them in your bag!!
2)bring tums with you, usually the hospitals won't have them!!
3)bring baby wipes, they usually don't have them in the hospital!!
4)try to get the bed closest to the bathroom, if you are sharing a room!!
